I undertake documentary photography and portraiture projects involving people, places and real-life stories. My interests include observational photography, environmental portraiture, natural-light and on-location work, and documenting the people and creative processes behind film and other projects.

I’m particularly interested in spending time with a subject and allowing a story to develop naturally. Whether documenting an individual, a community, a creative project or everyday life, I aim to make photographs that feel honest, natural and connected to the people and environments being documented.

Writing is an important part of how I approach photography. It helps me research a subject, understand its context and develop the stories behind the photographs.

I’m interested in writing about people, places, creativity and everyday life, particularly where writing can sit alongside photography to document a person, community, creative project or real-life story.

Depending on the project, this might include interviews, research, project notes, profiles, documentary text or longer-form stories. For me, the writing and photography are complementary ways of observing, understanding and telling a story.

digital media and design

I offer creative and practical support across digital media, social content, graphic design, web design, and brand consultancy. My qualifications in Digital Media and Design (Level 5), Business Administration, and Creativity give me a strong foundation in both visual communication and project organisation. Drawing on years of experience in photography, writing, and community‑based work, I approach design as an extension of storytelling, helping people and organisations express their identity with clarity and authenticity.

Whether developing a visual brand, designing a website, or creating social media content, I focus on simplicity, consistency, and meaningful connection. My goal is to help projects communicate their purpose clearly and visually, combining creative insight with practical structure so ideas can grow and reach the right audience.
